“A fantastic location and welcome. Saw an advertisement in Aspire magazine and went as Motorhome virgins. Excellent. Easy to book in at the pub. Parked with a fantastic view of the viaduct. Ate in the pub. The food was amazing and such a friendly bunch. Lovely to see how folk respect the countryside and pub carpark/gardens, taking their rubbish home. Thank you, we shall return.”

“Friendly staff. Great pub food tasty and sensible portions. The sandwiches and small fish and chips are meals in themselves even if you have just been round Whernside in -12 windchill sleety rain and clag 👍. Enjoyed the roaring open fire. Also had a good coffee before we started the walk.”

“Stayed here one night last week in my Campervan and it was a great little spot for a stop over. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was good. Only criticism, if staying in the carpark would be the cattle grid can be a little noisy as vehicles rumble over it in the night.”

“Always a great atmosphere, they went out of their way to get 3 of us a table. Lots of beers on and great selection of food. Having the staff in fancy dress for Halloween was a fun touch.👍😄”

“The food was sublime in the pub, huge portions so we got the starter fish and chips and that was just like a main portion anywhere else! Lovely cosy fire and just off the whernside route so perfect”

“I didn't use the inn but the area and esp. the viaduct are gorgeous. Plus you can climb Whernside from there. Or continue to Ingleborough.”
