“I have been here on a few occasions now walking with friends. They have accommodation however I can't comment as I haven't stayed there. I usually stay in my van nearby or in the car park overnight. (This may be full and unavailable if you arrive at peak times) The food selection was brilliant just what we needed after a long day in the hills walking. There is a great selection of drinks for all both soft drinks alcohol and hot drinks. We ordered breakfast for the morning and it was absolutely fantastic there was 5 of us in total all food came out together all full English with toast and coffee great value for money and a refil of coffee along with extra toast I really couldn't fault it. There are not many places that do this nowadays so fair play to this place. I will be back again later in the year for sure.”

“Stayed here one night last week in my Campervan and it was a great little spot for a stop over. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was good. Only criticism, if staying in the carpark would be the cattle grid can be a little noisy as vehicles rumble over it in the night.”

“After hiking the 3 peaks, in miserable wet weather, We just had to get cosy in front of the open log Fire. and order some food... Very welcoming and lovely homely atmosphere. And it's the only pub/ with a bathroom in the vicinity. Cannot comment on the rooms as we didn't stay overnight.”

“Stayed here for one night on the car park in our motorhome, great welcome, lovely atmosphere, food is to the upper end of reasonably priced but you get a lot of it and it's nice. Would definitely stay and eat here again.”

“Such a wonderful place! We stayed after completing the three peaks and it couldn't have been better. Delicious food with veggie / vegan options. Charming service. And a cosy clean room overlooking the viaduct. They'd done loads to make customers feel covid safe as well. Would highly recommend :))”

“Only came in for a drink ... Well, had thought about food but miscalculated my train and also a hoard of pile got to the bar as I was thinking about ordering Staff friendly. Beer, the local bitter, was good. Cosy place, nice decore Main issue is that this even on a wet February, there was no room to sit, as group after group of soggy walkers arrived and found themselves standing”

“Very lovely pub & inn situated in a great location in the Dales. We actually got stranded here in a storm and the staff were very accommodating (though keep in mind rooms aren't always available! popular place!). Excellent place to spend an evening or night after a day's ramble or just for lunch after peeking around the viaduct.”
